PCT 2026

The Pulmonary Clinical Trials Workshop (PCT 2026) brought together researchers, industry leaders, regulators, and patient advocates to discuss the future of pulmonary clinical trials and the work still needed to move the field forward. OSIC was invited to present in the ILD II session, sharing our perspective on Building the Neutral Infrastructure Needed for the Future of Clinical Trials.

During this inaugural meeting, hosted at the French Embassy in Washington, DC, a few themes stood out:

  • Imaging standardization matters. As quantitative imaging and AI become increasingly important in clinical trials, consistent acquisition protocols and harmonized practices will be essential.
  • Clinical trials are becoming more precise. Better phenotyping and more meaningful endpoints are helping us understand which treatments work, for whom, and when.
  • Patients must remain at the center of everything we do. Progress only matters if it improves patients’ lives and reduces the burden of disease.

Thank you to Prof. Vincent Cottin, Prof. Marc Humbert, and the entire PCT Workshop team for organizing such a valuable meeting and bringing together so many perspectives from across the pulmonary community.
