The Canary, the Code, and ILAs: Generative AI, a Video Game, and the Future of Lung Disease

The IPF Summit is the industry’s largest drug development initiative for the pulmonary fibrosis community. The event unites pulmonary fibrosis drug developers, clinicians, and academic thought leaders, all dedicated to bringing better drugs to patients faster.

In her session “The Canary, the Code, and ILAs: Generative AI, a Video Game, and the Future of Lung Disease,” OSIC Executive Director Elizabeth Estes discussed what Generative AI looks like in lung disease, and how OSIC is rethinking traditional research models by using a video game to engage diverse contributors in annotating ILAs and advancing early detection.
